The Montana Points Series is the longest-running Disc Golf Series in our area, having been around in some form since at least the early 1990s. The Cup of Champions was created in 2006 as a perennial trophy to celebrate the winners in each division.
The Series currently has ten stops across Montana in addition to a traveling State Championship/Points Series Finals. Players earn points based on how many other players they beat in each event. They can earn additional Bonus Points based on attendance and podium finishes. Points are worth extra value at the Finals. A Player’s best 4 Points Totals, plus Bonus Points and Points earned at the Finals count towards a player’s Overall Points Total.
The top finishers in every division at the end of the year receive cash payouts and trophies, with the winner in each division also receiving their PDGA membership paid for by the Series and will have their name engraved on the Cup of Champions.
